Consider the spectrum of agriculture’s operating mindsets that have been analyzed here previously: There’s the:

  • ‘Efficiency mindset’ driving industrial practices, the

  • ‘Service mindset’ - a key driver for success in farm marketing, and the

  • ‘Regenerative mindset’ that lands us in relationships, where healing is the driving force of regeneration in all systems that the human in that mindset interacts with.

Right now, the urgent questions for most commodity grain farmers, are:

  1. How should I be marketing last year’s unsold inventories?

  2. How can I get through the 2024 growing season best positioned to withstand, possibly, another 1-3 years of low prices and/or bad weather?
